What does PBL look like on a daily basis?

You are excited about Project Based Learning, and now you want to know what it looks like on a daily basis. There are Project Based Learning facilitators in classrooms from preschool to college, so PBL is happening on a daily basis in urban, suburban and rural schools. As you get started, it can be daunting to jump in if you don’t know what Monday will look like. Magnify Learning has PBL Unit Planning resources to get you started. Having a unit plan and a weekly plan will help you see what it will look like on a bigger scale. From there, you can scale down to see each day just as you would with any unit you bring to your classroom.

Don’t be afraid to ask other PBLers what their daily lessons look like. Collaboration is a wonderful tool for our learners and for us as adults. Once you begin to understand the art of going from a large scale idea down to your daily lessons, you’ll have a new confidence in PBL and your ability to engage your learners and community partners. It may take a bit to develop this confidence though, so reach out to others in the meantime!
