How important are school visits?

Going to a school to see Project Based Learning in action can help build your vision for PBL at your school. Go and ask your hard questions about PBL to experienced PBL administrators, facilitators, and learners. Hearing and seeing the PBL work firsthand gives you a vision and stories to tell others as you try to gain momentum.

Who should you take on a school visit? You are looking to build support for PBL at your school, so take stakeholders who can help support you. Here are a few suggestions to get you started. These folks don’t have to be curriculum experts to help support you. Think outside the box on who the influencers are in your school and district:

  • High flyers

  • Late Majority

  • School Board Members

  • Parents
